| How Will We Know? When Satan comes impersonating Christ, how will we know that this is not the real Jesus? By the way he looks? The sound of his voice? He will deceive the majority of the world. He will quote Scripture. He will heal people. He will perform great miracles. Bank tellers are taught to recognize genuine bills so well, that they can distinguish between the genuine and even a clever counterfeit. Only if we get to know the real Jesus now will we be safe then. At the present time, there is good and evil in each man and woman. The book of Revelation symbolically speaks of Christ’s coming as “the harvest time,” when everyone will have matured into what they really are. The two antagonistic motives in the Great Controversy—the use of force vs. the persuasion of love, will be fully developed. Everyone will decide which God they prefer, which government they prefer. But exactly how will this all come down? What will be the specific and unmistakable events that will signal that we are truly at the end? The issues are surprising; God called it the contest between the mark of the Beast and the seal of God. |
